Rain & Wind

Isnt it interesting how one day you can feel so close to God and the next your under attack!! I believe though when we are trying to do Gods will, making changes and breaking curses that we are the ones satan has his gaze fixed on. We're a threat.

In 1 Peter 5:8 NLT says " Stay alert! (ESV- Be sober-minded) Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour"

The first thing I see is that we need to be aware of our surroundings, who do we have in our cicle and are they leading us closer to Christ. Second, we need to be sober minded...I have had my fair share of unsober moments, more than I would like to admit honestly, but weither it be age or just desiring more of God (both I think), He has given me the self disciple to overcome...some things are still a work in progress but I think this continues throughout our whole lives. Back on track Ashley- Ok thirdly, and this one is honesty exciting, yes satan is prowling around but it says he is looking for someone he can devour....which means, he CAN NOT devour us all. So what is it that keeps him from being able to snatch us up?? I think its the things directly above that. We have to be on gaurd, we have to see him for what he is and refuse to allow him to eat us. A true, deep relationship with God is what makes this possible.

The verse directly above this one ( 1 Peter 5:6-7) says " So humble yourselves under the MIGHTY POWER OF GOD, and at the right time He will lift you up in honor. 7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about YOU. "

Two days ago I felt Gods love and peace, yesterday I felt attacked. Does that mean God has forsaken me?? NO! It means He was equiping me for what was to come. So yes, yesterday was awful in some ways but I was able to remind myself of the day before, cast my anxieties on Him and trust in His faithfulness, I was able to have faith! God is preparing us for war my friends, build your foundation and get ready!
